Our Values

Purchasing

Our suppliers are partners in our business and we value the relationship.

Our purchase decisions are based on final cost to the company. Price is just one of the factors taken into consideration.

Long term commitments are valued far more then “special” deals.

We expect all suppliers to share our values of innovation, service and integrity.

Sales

Glass Design are innovators and will launch, market and support new and cost saving systems and equipment to the South African glass market.

Glass Design will try and test where possible, as many of the products are in house, before offering them to the market place. From this we can market our products with “hands-on” experience.

Staff

Our team is carefully selected to ensure our commitments to our customers are kept through above average performance.

A few words about our

History

Founded in 1997, Glass Design (Pty) Ltd has grown to become South Africa’s leader in the supply and installation of glass processing systems and equipment.

The company has utilised the extensive world wide experience of it’s founder to bring innovative product and glass processing solutions to South Africa. Our international ties extend beyond representing and stocking the world’s leading brands in South Africa, since its inception Glass Design has been active in the US market.

In 1998 Glass Design introduced the revolutionary resin-bead system for the decoration of glass. Such was the success of this product that within three months the first production facility was completely sold out and a second line was imported.

The year 2001 was the next major step forward for Glass Design when Bavelloni – the world’s leading supplier of glass processing equipment- approached Glass Design to represent them in Southern Africa. The merger of Bavelloni and Tamglass in 2004 meant that Glass Design could also offer a complete package of equipment to the glass processor.

Today Glass Design can offer an extensive range of solutions for the Glass industry backed by world leaders in their fields. Mindful of the value of skilled employees, Glass Design has further extended its sales and technical staff in 2006.
